Our Aim

The main aim of the Foundation is “to improve the health status of the people by expanding coverage of universal health care, and to strengthen the social environment for health development of the entire population of Myanmar”. The priority focus is to address the health development of the underserved and underprivileged population living in rural and peri-urban areas.

Our Objectives

(a) To support and improve access to universal health care by the entire population of Myanmar, through systematic development of health care systems (with particular emphasis to health care of underserved and underprivileged population living in rural and peri-urban areas);
(b) To support, strengthen, collaborate and act as catalyst in national and local efforts to improve the provision of comprehensive integrated health care, including promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to all citizens; and,
(c) To promote and strengthen basic societal foundation of community-oriented and community-based civil society of the people, within the context of an effective and efficient basic health systems (typically township health systems).
