Kyoto East Rotary Club from Kyoto, Japan has donated 160 wheel chairs worth of Kyat 150 lakhs during2013 to 2017, and these have been distributed to selected township and station hospitals and Cetana clinics in Kayin, Mon, Kayah and Shan States and Magway Region.

With the collaboration of Myanmar-Japan Collaborative Program (MJCP), Mediva Inc., and Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Foundation received a Mammogram (digital X-ray for Breast Examination) and an ultra-sound machine, worth over 200,000 yen, and these machines were installed in February 2015 at the Central Women Hospital (CWH) in Mandalay.  A radiologist and her team of technologists from CWH, Mandalay, were trained at Okayama University, Japan to learn about the machines, for appropriate screening of Breast Cancer. PHF has also organized, in October 2015, a national seminar on breast cancer screening using mammogram, at PHF HQ, with the objectives of learning the experience on utilizing mammograms by the radiologists of public and private hospitals, with a view to develop national standard on breast cancer screening. In February 2016, a team of Japanese senior radiologists and breast cancer specialists, headed by Professor Shigeru Okada from Okayama University of Japan, had provided training on breast cancer screening and seminar on breast cancer,for Myanmar radiologists and radiographers from public and private hospitals of Myanmar, at Central Women Hospital in Yangon. Another batch of radiologist and her team of technologists from Magway Regional Hospital, were trained at Okayama University, Japan to learn about the machines, for appropriate screening of Breast Cancer in mid-2016.

PHF in collaboration with MJCP and Okayama City Council received the donation of 100 Bicycles in October 2014. These bicycles have been given to health volunteers working in Hlegu and Hmawbi Townships of Yangon Region.

MJCP has donated to PHF one Endoscopy set (worth of US$ 8,000/-), which was installed at Workers’ Hospital (main hospital for Social Security Insurance) at Tamwe Township in Yangon, on 15 December 2014.  Professor of Gastroenterology from Okayama University of Japan assisted the installation and training of local specialists with hand-on review of cases at the installed hospital.  Another accessories to the endoscopic machine worth of US$ 3000/- were again donated to the same hospital in January 2016, and necessary training to the hospital staff was carried out by the same Professor from Japan.

Through MJCP, Okayama University had donated four Anesthetic machines to Myanmar in mid-2014. PHF had received one of the machines, which was installed in State Hospital, Hpa-An, Kayin State in October, 2014.  When the Okayama Oral and Plastic Surgical Team visited Hpa-An in July, 2015, to train local oral and maxilo-facial surgeons on oral surgeries, this machine has been used for anesthesia of children. Another mission from Okayama University to Mawlamyaing, Mon State is carried out in January 2016.

A medical exhibition and seminar was organized by the Medical Excellence Japan (MEJ), in collaboration with the Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), MJCP of Okayama, Japan, and PHF, Myanmar, from 15-16 December, 2014, held at Park Royal Hotel, Yangon.  Union Minister of Health, Chief Minister of Yangon Regional Government, Senior Officials from METI, MEJ and MJCP provided inaugural speeches and senior consultants from the Ministry of Health, and Japanese experts/professors provided talks on cancer prevention and emergency medicine. A total of 150 people consisting of representatives from Japanese Medical Technology Companies and senior officials from public and private hospitals joined the seminar. On the same day evening, a study tour of Japanese company representatives was arranged to visit government teachning hospitals, and one private hospital.

A total of 120 people consisting of representatives from Japanese Medical Technology Companies and senior officials from public and private hospitals joined the seminar. On the same day evening, a study tour of Japanese company representatives was arranged to visit government teaching hospitals, and two private hospitals.
